Some scenes in Mountsorrel

Here are some photographs that I took when I cycled to Mountsorrel in September.

The Memorial Centre. The present building was built around 2017 to replace an older hall. Behind it is the Soar Valley Leisure Centre.

Turning the other way, we see The Green and the Mountsorrel Library and Learning Centre. Much of the building is an extension to Church House, in the foreground, that was built in 2007.

Opposite the library is a café currently occupied by Breward's Coffee Shop but formerly occupied by the Sorrel Youth Café.

The Granite Way roundabout, at the North End of Mountsorrel.

The Waitrose supermarket, seen from Loughborough Road, was formerly a Budgens supermarket. The site in front had a planning application to build several houses and some offices; however, it didn't seem as if much was happening.
