Trains at Loughborough railway station in May

Well, I'm back, and have I got lots of exciting stuff for you viewers! Today, we're doing some trainspotting at Loughborough station! These photos were taken in late May. Note that they're in numerical order rather than in chronological order after I renamed the photos for better identification.

Sprinter 156406 in the EMR Regional interim livery working the 09:03 to Nottingham.

Sprinter 156410 is seen, still wearing an East Midlands Trains livery, on the 08:52 to Leicester.

Meridian 222004 races through Loughborough at full speed on its way to Sheffield. This was the fastest-moving thing I'd ever photographed, and I'm quite proud of it. (I suppose aeroplanes are actually faster, but they appear to move comparatively slower.)

222004 is seen again the same evening, having just stopped at Loughborough on its way to Nottingham after I rode it from Leicester.

222011 stops at Loughborough on its way to London St. Pancras.

222014 stops at Loughborough on its way to Sheffield.

222023 stops at Loughborough on its way to Nottingham.

Last to be shown but not least, 222104, the first train I had ridden on in over two years - since my troublesome trip to Coventry in September 2019. This unit, originally one of four Hull Trains four-car Pioneer units that were later moved to East Midlands Trains, is notable for being the only train at present in the full EMR Intercity livery, because of the impending withdrawal of the Meridians. However, shortly before this photo was taken, this unit had an extra carriage, presumably taken from one of the seven-car Meridians, inserted, which is the second car from the front. This car still carries the mainly white EMR interim livery, which means that the whole train is purple apart from one white carriage. After this, I proceeded to this unit, riding on it from Loughborough to Leicester.
Once again, my destination was Coventry. In due time, I will upload more photos of my recent travels, but if any of you, knowing that that trip to Coventry back in 2019 was the worst train journey I had ever experienced, are wondering whether this trip was any better, well, I actually went to Coventry twice, once in late May, when these photos were taken; and again earlier this month; and I am pleased to report that these journeys were trouble-free.
